1. About

1. 1.1.Play and Win is trivia service that allows customers to answer questions and earn points.
2. 1.2.To access the service, a user must ensure that their mobile handset has messaging and mobile internet capability and a functional keypad. The user can also play the game on a tablet with a compatible browser, functional keypad and internet connectivity
3. 1.3.Customers will be awarded points for taking any one of the following actions described below while participating in the Competition. Each point is equal to one entry into the applicable draw.
4. 1.4.Action Points Awarded:
   1. Register as a participant in the free trivia game - 500.
   2. Answer a trivia question incorrectly - 10.
   3. Answer a trivia question correctly - 100.
   4. Subscribe to the VIP level - 1000.
   5. A successful daily charge - 500.
   6. Subscribe to one of the promoted content services – 1000.
5. Once a player has signed up to VIP, they will earn double the number of points for the actions described b, c, e, and f above.

2. Eligibility

1. All Econet prepaid subscribers with a valid Econet mobile number qualify to access the service. This notwithstanding, it is agreed that only subscribers who are using RICA-registered SIM cards to participate in the Service are eligible to win prizes.

3. Subscription and Charges

1. 3.1.The service is exclusively available to Econet users who opt into use of the service.
2. 3.2.To subscribe, users will dial the applicable USSD short code (*100#) and click econet.playandwin.mobi to subscribe for the service, choosing their preferred package (daily, weekly, or monthly).
3. 3.3.Upon successful registration, the customer will receive a subscription notification message, along with a link to the game portal. They will be able to access the service for the duration of their selected subscription period.
4. 3.4.The service begins immediately after the user signs up for subscription to the service and will continue until the user requests to stop the service and has received confirmation to that effect.
5. 3.5.Charges for the service will be applied to the user’s mobile operator bill or be deducted from your prepaid or post-paid account (as the case may be) balance until the service is cancelled by the user.
6. 3.6.Charges will be applied for so long as the subscription is active. The service is without obligation and can be stopped at any time.
7. 3.7.Charges and validity for each subscription option are as detailed below:

4. Unsubscribing/Cancellation

1. 4.1.A user can deregister from the service at any time via USSD by dialling *100# or via the URL econet.playandwin.mobi and following the prompts to select the option to unsubscribe.
2. 4.2.Upon successful cancellation, the user will receive a confirmation SMS confirming the cancellation of the service. If user does not receive a SMS notification the user can check manually by dialling *100# or visiting the URL econet.playandwin.mobi
3. 4.3.Should a user unsubscribe from the service before the end date of each competition period, they shall not be eligible to win any prizes.

5. Determination of Winners and Disbursement of Prizes

1. 5.1.Draws for the weekly prizes will be conducted weekly for the previous week.
2. 5.2.Draws for the Monthly prizes and Monthly grand prizes will be conducted monthly for the previous month.
3. 5.3.Customers can only win one prize from categories 5.1 and 5.2” outlined above. So, for example, if a customer wins a Grand cash or 1st Runner up prize, they will be disqualified from the remainder monthly airtime prizes.
4. 5.4.Participants must submit a minimum of one valid answer to a trivia question, to be entered into the daily airtime draw.
5. 5.5.VIP participants must have had an active subscription during the time of the draw to qualify for entry into the draw.
6. 5.6.Subscribers must have an active subscription during the time of each draw in order to qualify for entry into the draw.
7. 5.7.For any cash prizes, customers need to have at least one successful subscription charge and still have an active subscription to qualify.
8. 5.8.Customers may not re-claim their previously earned points if they accumulate points, opt-out of participation and subsequently opt back into participation.
9. 5.9.When a user unsubscribes his points for subscription events will be deducted.
10. 5.10.Airtime prizes will be credited to the account associated with the MSISDN selected as the winner for that airtime draw.
11. 5.11.Cash prizes will be paid to qualified winners via an Electronic Funds Transfer into the winner’s preferred bank account that matches with their KYC details.
12. 5.12.The prize money will be paid into a Zimbabwean bank account. If you are a winner and you do not have a Zimbabwean bank account, you must provide Econet with a bank account details to your account within 7 days. After the 7 days have lapsed, the prize money is forfeited.
13. 5.13.Prizes are not transferable into cash.
14. 5.14.Prizes not collected after 5 days of attempting to contact the winner shall lapse and become void.
15. 5.15.The draw for weekly airtime winners will occur weekly for the duration of the competition. Airtime winners will be notified by SMS only.
16. 5.16.Airtime winners will not be subject to the content of item 5.17.
17. 5.17.After the draw, Econet or its authorised agents will make 3 attempts to contact the selected MSISDN (winner) to verify the owner’s personal details (proof of identification and address) and inform the winner of their prize. On the 3rd failed attempt, the winner will forfeit the prize.
18. 5.18.Econet’s decision is final and no correspondence in this regard will be entertained.
19. 5.19.All participants agree and authorize Econet – for the purposes of this platform – to identify, announce as the winner’s, have their names, images or photographs taken and published in the media which may include print, television, press and internet (at no additional cost to Econet). Failing to agree will result in such a participant forfeiting the prize to the next alternative winner.
20. 5.20.The prize and/or prize money is not transferable.
21. 5.21.Once the winners have taken possession of their prizes, all risk and responsibility associated with the prizes passes to the winner and Econet will in no way take responsibility or assume any liability for, or in connection with, the prizes or the use thereof.
22. 5.22.Econet reserves the right to review and change the platform’s rules and format or cancel it altogether.
23. 5.23.Econet reserves the right to disqualify any customer from participation considering any malpractice or manipulation of results that Econet believes has taken place.
24. 5.24.As proof of ownership, the winner may be required to produce the handset and SIM card used to participate in the competition, along with the winner’s legal identification document.
25. 5.25.Winners may be required to sign acknowledgement of receipt of the prize.
26. 5.26.By participating in this competition, the participants are bound and subject to all the Terms and Conditions of the Competition.
27. 5.27.Econet shall be indemnified against any technical errors beyond its reasonable control.

6. Prizes

1. 6.1.Winners stand a chance to win the following prizes:

All participants (VIP level) stand a chance to win one of $8000 (six thousand) weekly and monthly airtime and cash prizes.

7. General

1. 7.1.The Econet shall not be responsible for any interruption and/or failure of the Play and Win Service for any reason whatsoever or for any interruption in the network services or handset compatibility.
2. 7.2.All subscribers that make use of this Service are bound by the terms and conditions contained herein as well as the terms and conditions of Econet Wireless’ service provision, and/or amended herein from time to time; and further to be included on the Econet Wireless opt-in base to receive promotional messages from Econet.
3. 7.3.The terms and conditions herein shall be governed and construed in the laws of Zimbabwe and the subscribers agree unconditionally to the non-exclusive jurisdiction of Zimbabwe.
4. 7.4.The User agrees that all trademarks, copyright and other intellectual property rights used or embodied in the Service shall remain vested solely with the Promoter. The user shall not in any way attempt to decompile or reserve engineer any of the IP contained therein.
5. 7.5.The Econet reserves the right, at any time, to change these Terms and Conditions and any rules relating to its products and the Service, and to modify the Services at its discretion as it sees fit without notice.
